Two power plants to be built in Khorasan Razavi

TEHRAN – Two power plants will be set up in the cities of Sabzevar and Torbat-Heydariyeh, in the northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi, Energy Minister Parviz Fattah announced in Mashhad Monday.

The government has allocated the budget needed for construction of the two combined cycle power plants and the license for contractors have been issued, the Persian service of student news agency ISNA quoted the minister as saying.

Fattah also unveiled other development projects, including the one that facilitates the pumping of water from Dousti Dam to the northeastern capital Mashhad.

He stressed the utilization of new energies, adding two wind power plants had become operational in Dizabad, Neishabur.
